For a class project I'm working on, I went up to Fairmount Park this afternoon to photograph the cherry blossoms. There are over 1,000 of these trees in the Philly park system, and for only about two weeks per year they grace the city with their pillows of pink and white. You can still make it this year - these are from near the Horticultural Center and the Please Touch Museum - but in case you won't, you can at least admire them right here.

Outside the Oreo 4.1.09
Only three Outside the Oreo's to go! Geeze, that certainly puts graduation in perspective, doesn't it? This week's (read it here) is a guide to traversing the Main Line on the R5. Yes, I literally drove to all of the stops between here and Philly to size up what students can do near each station. As suspected, it was a lot of neat restaurants and cute shops (but who doesn't love that?) I got this idea while brainstorming what transportation resources I wish were available - locations of fun things to do or places to eat and shop within walking distance of a train seemed like a no-brainer. Someone should create web site about that. Damn, I guess I just gave away my golden-ticket idea for the year.
Check out this cute house I found while lost looking for the train stop in Wynnewood. Wrap it up, please! Minus the trash cans.
